Guido called...
I've been trying to get Guido Fawkes onto CF Radio for a while now.Imagine my surprise when he called out of the blue and grilled me on the campaign.
Wish he hadn't now. I realised that his main point was that none of the candidates had any politics in their manifestoes - He's right!
But that's no surprise - CF needs civil servants, not junior politicos. The work of transforming the organisation is a long-term job and won't be achieved by grandstanding speeches or schmoozing.
It'll be a long-term process of building up the grassroots...unexciting, unglamorous and definitely not sexy.
It definitely won't help for the A-list...
